2014 World Cup - Brazil host cities

Twelve cities were chosen to host 2014 World Cup matches following a request by The Brazilian Football Confederation to increase the number of host cities from the usual maximum of ten.

The cities of Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Cuiaba, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Sao Paolo were confirmed as host cities in 2009. Belem, Campo Grande, Florianopolis, Goiania and Rio Branco missed out in the bidding process.

The 2014 World Cup final is expected to be played at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro - the same location that staged the 1950 World Cup final.
